Sorry I didn’t respond to your question on the other post. Yes, the exercise is good for building range, but you will probably want to also dedicate some time to range specific exercises as well. I view range as a combination of strength and technique, so you will have to make sure the technique is refined in addition to building the necessary strength. I hope that helps.
A few post ago you mentioned coming up with a routine from the Vizzutti method books. Can you shed some light on that? I love the books and was curious as to how you use them.
Is that exercise you use for building strength, up five notes on the scale,sustain etc,also good for building range?
